Peacock Christmas Tree Decoration Ideas:

    • Use peacock feathers in your Christmas tree topper! Create a DIY peacock feather Christmas tree topper using peacock feathers. You can find them in all shapes and sizes on Amazon here: Peacock Feathers. Add in other feathers, or some blue, purple or green ribbon to create a beautiful topper for your Christmas tree!
    • You can also add smaller peacock feathers to your garland, or in little clusters on the branches of the tree. Just use a little lightweight wire to wire the feathers to the branches.
    • Add a peacock Christmas bow. You can make your own or use one of these: Peacock Christmas Bow. You can use one large bow, or create several smaller ones with thinner ribbon in shades of blue, green or purple to add to the branches with lightweight wire.
    • Peacock ornaments are another great addition!
    • Sometimes you don’t have to have peacocks or peacock feathers to get the idea across all you need to add is some purple, teal and/or green ball ornaments to your tree to get the desired effect.

There’s always a party to go to during the holiday season, so you’ve got to be prepared with a great holiday party dress! Peacock clothing seems to be THE thing lately, especially around the holidays. I love this embroidered peacock party dress. I love the red, it’s perfect for a holiday party. The best part is it comes in several different colors, including this hot pink fuchsia color. Very festive don’t you think?

Christmas Recipes~ White Chocolate Peppermint Bark

July 3, 2017 by admin Leave a Comment

One of the Christmas candy staples at our house is White Chocolate Peppermint Bark. It’s melt in your mouth delicious! It’s great to bring to the office carry in, family gatherings, or to bag up in individual bags with a pretty ribbon and use as a gift! I guarantee you wherever you take your peppermint bark it will be a big hit during the holiday season!

Here’s my favorite recipe!

White Chocolate Peppermint Chocolate Bark

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces (about 2 cups) semi sweet melting chocolate, or chocolate chips
  • 12 ounces (about 2 cups) white chocolate, chopped, or white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract (just a couple drops will do)
  • 8-10 peppermint candy canes or about 20 pieces of mint Christmas candies

Preparation:

  1. Unwrap the candy canes or mint candy pieces and crush them by adding them to a food processor and pulsing it on and off until they’re crushed, or place them in a large plastic bag and roll over them with a rolling pin until they’re crushed into small pieces (this is a great job for the kids).
  2. Have the kids help you cover a cookie sheet with wax paper.
  3. An adult or older child can melt the semi sweet chocolate according to the package directions. Pour the chocolate onto the wax paper.
  4. Let the kids help you use a spatula or knife spread to it evenly to about 1/8″ thick. Don’t worry about getting all the way to the edges or making it neat, the chocolate will be broken into pieces later.
  5. Place the tray in the refrigerator to cool while you’re preparing the white chocolate.
  6. Have a grown up or older child melt the white chocolate according to the package directions.
  7. Stir the candy cane bits (or mint candy bits) and the mint extract into the melted white chocolate. You can reserve some of the candy cane pieces to sprinkle on top later.
  8. Remove the cookie sheet from the refrigerator and use a spatula or knife to spread the white chocolate in an even layer over the semi sweet chocolate. Again don’t worry about it being perfectly neat around the edges, you’ll be breaking it into pieces.
  9. Before the white chocolate cools and hardens, sprinkle the remaining candy cane pieces over the top and press them in. Place the tray back in the refrigerator to cool for at least another 30 minutes.
  10. Once bark is completely set, use your hands to break it into small, uneven pieces.

Enjoy!

First Christmas Scrapbook Pages

The first Christmas is one of the most exciting moments in many parents eyes. It’s fun to see the wonder in your child’s eyes during the holidays. Or maybe it’s the tears in their eyes because they’re terrified of Santa, or at least that was how my son reacted! Here are a couple 1st Christmas scrapbook page ideas to help you immortalize those precious moments in your child’s scrapbook.

We used the Cricut to make the letters, and the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge to make the cute little penguins.

It’s a really cute cartridge with tons of cute little animals on it. I think these penguins were cut at 5-6 inches.

Here’s another 1st Christmas scrapbook page layout.

This Christmas scrapbook page used a piece of red and white striped scrapbook paper cut for a border on the page and around the photos like this one: Peppermint Twist Christmas – 12 x 12 Glitter Paper – Candy Cane.
It also features Santa flying in front of the moon. The moon was cut out with the Cricut. It’s just a basic circle, so you could also use a template. Then a second circle was cut just a little larger to make a border. The Santa and reindeer is just a sticker we purchased at our local craft shop.

The third First Christmas scrapbook page is fairly simple, featuring your little bundle of joy. The word Joy was cut out with the Cricut Creat a Critter Cartridge I mentioned above, the snowflake was the center from the “O’ it’s on the same page as the reindeer which is also made with the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge.

I’ll be back with more Christmas and holiday scrapbook layouts over the next few weeks!
